Can you be driven to your airplane if you travel first class?

Does anyone know if any airlines offer an express check-in service in which you are driven from your door to the airplane without having to go through the check-in lounge?

i.e. you’re picked up from your house, stop at the airport for a security check, and then driven, by car, to the airplane.

I assume it’s a service only available to first class passengers on specific flights, thanks for your help!

Virgin, Air France, BA, SIA, Lufthansa, and Emirates (as well as others I’m not aware of) offer this service in their highest cabin on international flights =]

You have the option of being driven to the lounge for express check-in or right to fast-track security and then driven again from there to your plane.

Possibly, if you have a lot of money and your own private jet. For regular first class passengers, nope.

No, I’m afraid not. There is usually a special check in line and security line for first class passengers, so you can usually get threw these faster then those traveling coach.

Emirates is planning a real first class service once the new terminal in Dubai is finished and the A380 delivered. I think they plan for passengers to be driven by the Limo right to customs, then be picked-up curb side by a limo and be driven to the plane … very much like most airlines do for super VIPs.

Not unless it is a private plane. Anyone on the AOA (airport operations area) needs a security escort if they don’t have business being there. Put 15 or so per flight and you need as an airport to hire an additional 100 – 200 employees. You’d still need to be screened anyway.

Well, actually you can. It depends on the airline. Virgin Atlantic for example does, at certian airports. At London Heathrow, they will send a car for you, and will take you to a special check in and security line and all that jazz. But, you have to be flying with a Upper Class ticket. If you are wondering if they will take you directly to the plane, than no. You will have to have a private jet or something like that.
