I had to drive my mercedes CLK 320 trough flood. And engine makes strange noice, what can it be?

The sound is most probably coming from vent, most probably it is touching something, but I wonder could I Have some other problems/ ANd how do I know if engine is hydrolocked? Everything functions OK, except that sound and engine sign turned up. (no beeps though)
P.S. The water only covered wheels of the car, not the hood.

you are going to spend alot of money to fix this problem becasue driving your car though water is never a good idea you might have caused serius damage to the car.

Your engine may have ingested water which is not a good thing (liquid does not compress so it can cause damage to the piston and/or valves if it enters one or more of the cylinders).

While the air intake is at the top of the grille, by driving through water which reaches bumper level, the water can be pushed up by the bumper if you’re driving fast enough and be sucked in by the intake.

Have the code(s) scanned to see why the engine light is coming on.
